If we had a platinum award for the freshest plates we’ve ever tasted, Pescatore would be a top nominee. This place is on another level. It’s no mere casual hotspot. If you live up by the Main Line in PA, and you want to impress your s/o, take them to Pescatore.
This place specializes in our two favorite types of food: Italian and Seafood. These chefs prefer quality over quantity as they deliver with every bite. Their take on a “basic” caprese salad will leave you wide-eyed as their homemade, creamy Burrata Mozzarella cheese, arugula, tomatoes and fig compote alone is worth going back for. We tried four different seafood entrees to see if these guys lived up to their acclaimed seafood specialty: Seared Scallops, Swordfish (surrounded by mussels, clams and shrimp), Branzino topped with Lump Crab, and unbelievable Baked Crab Cakes. Each meal was perfectly cooked and we honestly couldn’t scrape up a single flaw. In conclusion – these chefs know what they’re doing. Next time, we’ll be exploring their pasta selection.
Well no restaurant’s perfect, right? We tried their desert because they had to be slacking in one area. Wrong. Your tiramisu plate will be licked clean no matter how happily stuffed you feel. Even their service gets an A+ (very well-staffed and diligently attentive).
Deservingly so, you can expect a pricy bill, but it’s worth every penny. Considering the price, this place is a perfect dining experience for a special celebration. Counting down the days until one of our birthdays…
