Is there anything better than an ice cold drink on a hot summer day? Well, yes actually.. An alcoholic ice cold drink on a hot summer day. These whiskey slush drinks made with Jack Daniels, fruit juice and sweet tea are summer’s finest. With the perfect combination of sweet and tang, these icy drinks will have all your friends and family asking for the recipe!
This drink is so easy to make! Making it the night before or morning of is the easiest, because it takes ten hours to freeze in the freezer. Get a very large pitcher or bowl, not necessarily the one you want to serve the drink in, but make sure it is large enough for the liquid! Mix together the sweet tea, Jack Daniels, thawed lemonade and OJ concentrate (thawed is important or it won’t all mix together!). Stir in the water, cover the bowl and place in the freezer for 8 hours. Stir, then freeze for another two hours (the drinks will last up to two days). Take out of the freezer 15 minutes before serving, stir and enjoy! Garnish with raspberries and mint leaves.
Jack Daniels Whiskey Slush
Makes 10 8oz drinks
Prep Time: 10 Hours
2 cups strong brewed sweet tea, homemade or store-bought
1.5 cups Jack Daniels
12 ounces frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
6 ounces frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
6 cups water
Raspberries and mint leaves for garnish
In a very large pitcher or bowl, mix together the tea, whiskey, and lemonade and OJ concentrates. Stir in 6 cups water. Place in the freezer for 8 hours. Stir, then continue to freeze for 2 hours more and up to 2 days. Take out of the freezer 15 minutes before serving. Stir and serve.
Any type of whiskey or bourbon works!
