We love making this classic stuffing on Thanksgiving. We don’t stuff the bird, we make it separately. It is super easy to make and takes a lot less effort than most sides 🙂
First, mince the onion and celery and set aside. Next, cut up your white bread into small cubes. You can always use pre-diced stuffing mix, too! We dip our bread very slightly in water before we cut them into cubes. This allows for a softer, moist stuffing. Be sure to not make the bread soggy!
Combine veggies and bread in a bowl and add your red wine. Next, add in your poultry seasoning. Again, you can use any seasoning you like, but this one is delicious! And it goes with our turkey breast, too. Add two eggs and mix. Put mixture in a bake-safe dish, cover with aluminum foil and bake for 2 hours in a 300 degree oven. This stuffing will be a tasty addition to your Thanksgiving dinner! 🙂
