They have an early NYE menu starting at 5pm for those wanting to fill up before the big night out, and they have a late NYE menu starting at 7pm. Their dishes are sure to please and the Annapolis Harbor makes it the perfect setting to close out 2015. See you there!
Wine, cheese, perfect portions… French cuisine makes us happy. If you feel the same, then this place will make your day. Right up the street from the beautiful downtown harbor in Annapolis, MD, you’ll find cozy Café Normandie, a quaint French bistro dishing out delicious plates. Chef Jean-Louis Evennou is a true French native but has clearly embraced his new Annapolis home considering the expansive seafood options on his menu (we highly recommend the sautéed calamari to start, pictured above).
Like most of our featured restaurants, Café Normandie uses primarily local ingredients. However, Chef Jean-Louis has his sights set even further – he wants all of his ingredients to eventually derive straight from his local farm in Upper Marlboro! If that wasn’t enough, the restaurant cut 90% of their waste and has become a true sustainable leader in Annapolis.
An obvious choice for special occasions, this place has a little bit of everything with true French inspiration. We chose perfectly cooked fish of the day on this particular night. We also ordered their blueberry glazed salmon, which is délicieuse. We will definitely be returning for more – our eyes are set on crepes, French onion soup, and their crème caramel dessert. Yes, yes, and yes. Bon appétit!
