We are frequent grubbers at the Annapolis Smokehouse & Tavern off Forest Drive. As a Naptown native, Maris would confidently claim Smokehouse as the best barbecue in town. One bite into their Texas Brisket and it’s easy to tell why these guys are multi-award winners. Their menu is creative and decorated with unique items – Whiskey Salmon, Bourbon Cherry Porkchop, and Korean BBQ Quesadillas?! You’ll want to try it all.
On this particular day we’d been beer-tasting at the Annapolis Craft Beer Festival and wanted to keep the party going with some good food. Smokehouse offers an awesome bar scene and was the perfect place to host our friends from out of town.
We’d highly recommend starting out with the Dark and Stormy Wings (with a Dark and Stormy drink) or the Not So Average Nachos – House made potato chips with nacho cheese, sour cream, scallions and smoky tomato salsa.
For the entrée, you can’t go wrong with their stacked Memphis pulled pork sandwich.
We’ve also tried their BBQ chicken that is brined overnight. Talk about tender. These guys care about good barbecue. We’re 12 visits deep so it’s fair to say Smokehouse is worth a second visit. Or third… or fourth… 🙂
